Flatentry
Accessibility screening & remediation for Shopify stores
A flat entry is a doorway without a step. Nobody notices it until they need it — and then it decides whether they get in at all. Your checkout works the same way.
I find the WCAG failures on your storefront that block real customers from checking out — and then I fix them in the theme code.
What I actually do
- Screening — automated WCAG 2.1 AA scan across five pages of your store, plus a keyboard walk, with screenshots of every failure on your own site.
- Full audit — the manual pass a machine can't do: screen reader through the complete purchase path, error handling, focus order.
- Remediation — the issues fixed in your theme, retested, documented.
Two things I want to be upfront about
I don't sell overlay widgets. A script tag doesn't resolve this. Companies using overlays have still been sued, the vendors themselves have been named as defendants, and the script is detectable from outside — so it can flag a site rather than protect it. I fix the code.
Automated scanning catches roughly 57% of WCAG issues — that's Deque's own figure, and they build the engine nearly every tool wraps. Anyone selling you a scan-only "certification" is selling you nothing. The remaining 43% needs a human.
Pricing
The audit fee is credited against remediation. No call required at any stage — everything is handled in writing.
Want to see your own store?
Email me the URL and I'll send the screening back within a day. It's free, there's no follow-up sequence attached to it, and if you'd rather hand the findings to your own developers, that's a perfectly good outcome.
